Job Purpose:

To advise on financial and contractual issues relating to bills of quantities provided in relation to material supplied for construction projects.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Draw up contracts specifying nature and quantity of raw materials required,
Review tenders received and advice contract admin team on which to accept,
Draw up detailed cost plans and advise site engineers on the limits they must work to in terms of quantity and quality,
Keep client informed of project costs and discuss and agree any proposed variation,
Measure and value work in progress to ensure that it is within the agreed parameters,
Measure and value completed project and authorize payment provided the contract is within the agreed specifications,
Maintain an awareness of developments in the field of quantity,
Perform other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
