Job Purpose:

To carry out surveys of property and sites to provide information for building construction, alterations, valuations, land use and map making

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Measure and map land using specialized equipment, such as GPS receivers, total stations, and laser scanners,
Prepare reports and documentation of survey results,
Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to ensure that surveys meet project requirements,
Resolve survey discrepancies and errors,
Maintain accurate records of survey data,
Performs mathematical calculations to determine and confirm surveying measurements.
Markes and delineates boundaries and reference points on a property or section of land,
Analyze data using plans, maps, charts, and software such as Auto Cad and GIS programs,
Perform other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor
